We don't offer vaginal scans; everything is done abdominally or "on top of the belly".
Make sure to wear something comfy that easily exposes your belly.
We will need to touch your belly in addition to using the ultrasound "wand" on occasion.

Do you Want/Need a LIVE LINK?!
A LIVE link is a personalized link created just for your appointment. We send it before your appointment so you can share it with friends and family who are absent. They will be able to watch (not hear) and experience your visit from nearly anywhere in the world on nearly any device. It is a complimentary feature of your visit. All you need to do is request one to be sent to you. The video and link are only present during your session unless you have purchased the video or it is included in a package you have chosen.

Early Ultrasounds 7-10 Weeks
We ask that you have a full bladder when you arrive at your appointment.
Gender Reveal
For Mommies coming in for an early gender reveal (14+ weeks), we recommend drinking some cold juice,ice water,smoothie or a milkshake about 15-20 minutes prior to your ultrasound, to help wake up your baby. We highly recommend doing your scan/blood test at least 1 week before a gender reveal party or event. In some cases baby can be shy and a re-scan is occasionally necessary to determine gender.
4D/HD Scans
We ask moms to drink twice as much water 1-2 weeks before their appointment (if you have time). This helps achieve the best possible images of your baby. Sound waves need to travel through fluid. More fluid in front of the baby’s face means a better quality picture. We also recommend drinking some cold juice, milkshake, or smoothie. (If you aren't doing sugar sipping, ice water on the way to your appointment is also great) about 15-20 minutes prior to your ultrasound, to help wake up your baby. But DON'T worry, typically most moms have good fluid, and great images are captured.
***Singleton pregnancies are recommended to come at 26-32 weeks, but can be attempted at any time in pregnancy.
***Twin pregnancies are recommended to come at 23-28 weeks, but can be attempted at any time in pregnancy.
TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL VISIT

BE COMFY
Wear comfy clothing. Nothing tight or restrictive. Rompers and dressers are great if shorts can be worn underneath.

At Luxe Baby Ultrasound, we aim to provide you with the very best ultrasound experience available. We understand that babies and pregnancies are each unique in their own way. Sometimes a baby may face toward the mother's back, the fluid may not be very clear, or the baby may be hiding behind their hands or feet, just to name a few. If your baby does not cooperate during your session, we will bring you back for one more session at no additional cost within two weeks of your original appointment!

What if gender can't be determined?
We will have you back as early as the Next Morning!
On rare occasions, some babies like to have their legs crossed, a cord between their legs, or tuck themselves to a side that doesn't allow for gender to be seen clearly. When this happens, we will take a look as early as the next day to get you a clear gender determination. At no additional cost.
